We designed our inaugural café to make a statement. It embodies warmth and incorporates solid walnut furnishings and decorative elements from around the world, yet balances with concrete and black steel throughout. We spared no expense. The design is as unique as our coffee. The architectural elements are the brainchild of the talented design team at BlocHaus and the grand vision of our founder Chris Chacko to bring opposites together in harmony. In all we do, craft and technology are incorporated seamlessly into delivering excellence to our customers.
Our communal seating and open kitchen feel are meant to encourage dialog, not division, with those around you. Talk to your neighbor. You may find a friend for life. It’s a place for reflection, a place to watch our highly trained barista team execute impeccable beverages with gentle flavorful temperatures meant to enjoy, not scald.
Tech and Our Baristas
The most expensive coffee tech of any café anywhere – that we know of... It’s coffee nerdery taken to the nth degree. Our café showcases the latest advancements to deliver exceptional beverages. Yet with all the P.I.D. controls and slick designs, they mean nothing without trained baristas at the helm. We call our people baristas because they are exceptional, talented individuals who have a passion to what they do. They don’t push buttons; they create art.
The Cows and Our Milk
Our milk is exclusive to Sparrow, sourced from a biodynamic organic farm in Wisconsin and the result of years of driving around America from Vermont to California to find a dairy with our values and core commitment to quality. Unlike commercial milk taken from Holstein cows, our milk is from an entire herd of 30 Jersey cows that enjoy their existence in a well-cared-for, nurturing environment. It’s the finest milk available, typically used only for cheese and butter-making. Jersey cows just don’t produce that much milk, but it is rich and delicate both at the same time, embodies terroir, and changes throughout the year to reflect what they are eating in the field. We think this is really cool. Craft milk for craft coffee.
Food and Respect
Our coffee is served in establishments whose chefs spent lifetimes developing their skill sets, including many Michelin starred restaurants. We hand-pick our clientele. We do not, and will not, serve our coffee in an establishment that does not respect our craft or will not commit to sourcing exceptional ingredients for the food it serves. We do not sell our coffee to grocery stores, wholesale clubs, gas stations, retailers or through any distributors.
We will be offering a rotating selection of over 100 single origin coffees that we previously rarely served outside of our restaurant clientele. These will be available as brewed beverages and as whole bean selections to take home.
Unique Coffee Experiences
Classes and tutoring will be offered from time to time. We encourage you to sign up for a modest fee and learn from our barista team. The knowledge gained will last a lifetime.

We are located in downtown Naperville in the new Water Street Development on the south side of the river, next to the Indigo Hotel entrance. Free parking is directly behind our café and is part of the hotel complex. It’s a convenient place to park before strolling through downtown Naperville enjoying its iconic river walk and vibrant nightlife. We hope to see you soon.
