Fazenda do Juquinha is located in Maria de Fé, known for being one of the coldest cities in Minas Gerais. It is run by two brothers in law, Ivan Prado de Melo & Weder Batista, who are the only long term employees of the farm. During harvest they employ between 20-25 locals to help.

Though they are new to coffee production, their dedication to learning and cultivating pristine practices has allowed them to produce this amazing coffee. This was a coffee we found on our trip to Brazil in 2023, and the staff has been ecstatic to have such a different and nuanced profile to taste and show case at our cafe. The Yellow Catuai varietal has a much brighter acidity than we are accustomed to finding in our Brazils and a juicy tropical stone fruit character. Still possessing the traditional cocoa and nutty profile and rich body, this Brazil is a crowd pleaser to be sure.
